The win has been a long time coming and Witham certainly didn't make it easy. They had some incredibly strong ball carriers which meant the Ferns had to fiercely defend their line on several occasions with phase after phase of attacks.
The first score went to Witham and the Ferns were behind for the majority of the match, which remained close throughout. It was only in the last 5 mins that the Ferns scored 2 tries in quick succession which gave them enough of a lead to secure the win, even with the final score going to Witham.
