This week the U13s all took part in Woodhall Parks Muddy Mayhem 5k in support of the Garden House Hospice. With over 450 participants it was a great atmosphere.
The green army had a fantastic turn out of 21 lads, all coaches and our mascot Mr Hill.
The boys were in poll position at the start line and kept a great pace throughout, coach Ben and coach Paul keeping up with the front pack, while coaches Cedric, Rhod and Chris were making sure no man was left behind. Taking on a variety of under and over obstacles, waist high muddy bogs, river crossings, inflatable gates and water pistols.
With no man left behind, the bulk of the team all finished within a few minutes of each other, Jasper Hill set the pace coming in an impressive 4th place!
A photo finish between coach Cedric and coach Rhod!
It was great to see the boys putting such an effort into supporting a great cause. Datchworth RFC was proudly represented and smashing our fundraising target of £500 the boys have currently raised £1024 for the hospice. Our JustGiving page is still open to donations so please give what you can.
