On Saturday the 1st team continues their pre-season preparation with a home game against a Mixed Ampthill side. Kick-off is at 3.00 pm and with Datchworth Cricket concluding their league season it will be a busy and enjoyable day at the Club.

Sadly Welwyn decided not to fulfil the planned match with the recent dry conditions hampering all preparations but we can now look forward to that game which will now be held on the 8th October.

So this week we are expecting a strong squad to travel to us from the Championship outfit in what promises to be a challenge for the home sides’ squad but vital preparation for the away trip to Hemel Hempsted on the 10th September, which gets the new league campaign underway.
